Our roots

From a New York beginning, one family has stayed in touch for five generations.

About

A family, bound by shared history.

The DKFBA is a private family association. For over a hundred years it has gathered the descendants of David Kantrowitz — around milestones, around dues, around the table — across generations and geographies.

We are neither a charity nor a public nonprofit. We are a family that has chosen, year after year, to stay in touch with one another.

Since 1909

More than a century of continuity.

From a small group of relatives in the early 20th century to a multi-generational association today, the DKFBA has been organized, funded, and led entirely by family members for 115+ years and counting.

Our annual gatherings — Yahresfest, meaning “year-festival” — have become the central rhythm of our shared life.

Membership

Dues keep the association running.

Current members can pay annual dues online via PayPal. Individual and family rates are available, and you can cover additional family members in a single payment.

Please note: payments to the DKFBA are not tax-deductible and are not charitable contributions.
